persichek, meaning little peach, is the mutated end product of jam sessions with friends over the course of a hot, aimless summer in moscow. kanda river and skein are charged with the capital's energy, as well as its underside of claustrophobia and insomnia. shady glade and lost morass are slower and more spacious, the detuned riffs and wafts of delay a way of recapturing the vast, surreal emptiness of dkol's hometown, kandalaksha. charged with an unhomely psychedelia, the tracks are also an ode to russia's northern tundra, which has been the site of shamanic rituals for millennia.
